![]() So, thank you again for taking the time to review our company. We always appreciate honest and accurate accounts of our customers experiences. *******, First off, thank you for providing us feedback. I'm sure they do a great job, but realistically, they are hugely overpriced. Their sales team does a great number on you. IMHO, don't go to these guys for anything. A couple of days later we got an estimate from a local roofer who was offering pretty much the same thing as Valor for $4k less. He wouldn't leave us with his "chicken scratch" estimate and told us we'd get one via email which we could read (which we still haven't gotten). we told them we still needed to get two more estimates. While the wife and I were discussing it, their rep went out to their vehicle "to talk to their corporate side" to see if they could get a better deal on the materials, then came back inside and told us they could do it for "today only" for $13.5k. They gave us a quote on our roof at over $25K, then showed us a price for $17k to make us feel good. What came out of the guys mouth made me seem like were at a used car dealership. Their representative came by, did a 15 minute (seemed like 15 second) walk around of our house, then came in and gave us the speil. I'm sure Valor Home does an excellent job, but at what cost? I contacted them to give me a quote on my hail damaged roof. At this point the rest of me roof was bare. So my choice was pay more or they could just roof over it. They just couldn't remove all the old ice barrier and in some spots old shingles. Again I was taken back, because I was told the wood on my house was in perfect condition. To add to my dismay the work supervisor told me that he couldn't remove all the old roofing materials because he didn't have the tools to do so and if I wanted it done I would be charged money for twelve sheets of plywood on top of the 28,000. I will let you look it up and form your own opinion. When I asked about his attire I was told that what he was wearing was within OSHA requirements. This accident was totally avoidable, With a little risk mitigation, Like proper clothing. This young man ended up falling off my roof and totally damaged my gutters. One of the roofers showed up to work in canvas low top converse shoes and a pair of silky basketball shorts and a T-shirt. We're not in the military anymore and no it's not appropriate for you to just pick a spot in my yard to relieve yourself, especially when you know nothing of your surroundings. When I complained To his supervisor I was told that it was fine because he goes to the bathroom outdoors and I probably did too. Keep in mind my neighbors have small children who play in that same area. What did I get for this price? Good question, within an hour of the crew arriving the supervisor of the crew was in the back of my house going to the bathroom. You should shop around my mistake!!! They promised professional service that a veteran like me would appreciate. ![]() I am a 25 year retired 100 percent disabled veteran and they charged me 28,000 dollars to put a roof on a 1650 square foot rancher style home. They hide behind the cloak of giving disabled veterans roofs at no cost while they take advantage of the rest of us. If you're considering Valor Homes to replace your roof you're making a huge mistake "DON'T". Valor homes has very poor customer skills and I would not recommend their company to anyone ever especially due to the office management and poor communication skills. They only try to get sales and it doesn't matter what the customer feels after their sale is complete. Valor homes does not give truthful or good management skills with their company. I advised her that in the contract it never said that it only stated that I would be paying valor homes and Miss Peggy continue to advise me that my business was no longer with valor homes but with the bank. She advised me that's the way that they work. I had advised the office manager Peggy that this was not advised me by the salesman and that this was poor salesmanship. So my final bill went from 15,000 to 22,000. On the initial consultation for the roof installation from the salesman he gave us a price and never advised us that they would be sending our financing to a financial institution. before the installation of the roof I had no major issues or problems with my gutters. ![]() A representative came out and said that our gutter was old and cracked. Valor homes performed our roof installation after the roof was completed they had broken statues in the front garden and cracked or rear gutter.
